A few nights ago I realized just what I've done. Early in the first full week of December of last year I had decided that I would transition socially in the coming year. I was very much worried, fearful that I wouldn't be able to do it. Even so, I set three goals for myself:

1: Transition in the first quarter of 2011.
2: Within a year after #1 wear a skirt or dress at least once.
3: No longer be an employee of $state government by the start of 2012.

#1 didn't quite happen by winter proper, but was before the first month of Spring was over.
#2 was done soon after - sundress on the beach in Nags Head a month and a half after #1, a dress to a Father's Day brunch in the summer, then skirts fairly often throughout the summer. I know this one probably sounds odd; I had my own mental demons to slay.
#3 has now happened, too.

I realized this while at dinner with my wife on Thursday - I did it! I accomplished those goals!

There is just one that remains. I refuse to put a time on that one, though, as I do not known when finances will permit it.

You should be so, so proud of yourself!! That's a huge list of accomplishments, especially considering that you didn't think you'd necessarily manage any of them.

Yay! I love that feeling of realizing I've reached goals I thought were still out of reach.
