On surgery

I have a plan to have breast augmentation next year.

This is the surgery I wanted to have consistently from before the first time I saw a therapist in my teens, and for nearly 30 years have been trying to make it happen but faced endless barriers - denial of the surgery letter that was required by the surgeons through the mid-2010s, threats by endocrinologists to end my HRT prescriptions for having it, and a spouse who actively engaged in financial sabotage of my plans. The entire time they used that I had fears about SRS and, later, regret for having it as part of some supposed argument that a boob job would be even worse for me - that somehow my response to being coerced into surgery I didn't want meant anything about how I would handle surgery I did want.

Never felt the need myself- due the the intersex business, like Topsy,they just growed! :o)

I'm a J cup currently but need to have more. My mental image of myself has been that way since as long as I can remember - I remember dream of myself when I was a kid where I saw myself as an adult woman with very large boobs.

Not sure how sizes work over there with you but I'm a UK 'B'. I'm also fairly short and not physically big, so they seem to be in nice balance (literally and figuratively)

US sizing is the same as UK until D and after that it's similar except that the US doesn't use double-letter sizes*. I was a 38B and hated it.

* Okay, there are double letter sizes used on labels but they're the same as the next single letter in the US system. E.g. a US DD is the same as a US E whereas a UK E is the same was a US F. My US J is UK GG.
