Slight update

The HR meeting, scheduled for today, was canceled.

IMHO, the messages have been a great example of directly stating one thing then all but directly negating it. One sentence saying the target date is still on followed by a dozen that suggest it "might" not be possible. Basically, they've done very little of what they must do.

Not much I can do but soldier on here.

Grrr from here too. :( I'm so sorry they're dragging their feet. I assume - correct me if I'm wrong - that they will have to do *something* once your name change is finalized (and that it's not yet finalized but will be soon?).

Hmm, maybe there is. If you haven't already, maybe try a quick consult with an HR/employment lawyer or consultant?

The reason I mention this? If you were in my jurisdiction, there are definitely a few things you could do (in practical and/or legal ways), but I dunno about NC.

I forgot to post that update here - it was late in the day and I was rushing to get home: I did find the string to pull that would get them moving and it was exactly as you suggested. That I have filed the notice for my name change lit a fire under HR.
