Today, pt. II
Feb. 21st, 2011 09:16 pmThree word review: It went well!
I want to thank everyone for their words of support. That meant everything to me. Sorry I didn't reply; I had a lot going on!
I met with my manager and we spoke for about fifteen minutes, then brought the division's HR Director in, and the three of us spoke for about half an hour more, including that we would try to have one big meeting with everyone who needed to be involved on the management/administrative side. HR Director went off to make her calls and 45 minutes later I had a meeting with my manager and his manager.
Finally, HR Director came back with information that the meeting will probably be sometime next week.
Edit to fix some really basic and bizarre typos of the sort I've been making all day.

So, what is the next transition step for you?

Date: 2011-02-22 08:49 pm (UTC)The "never know" point was the thing. "Expect the unexpected" was how it was once put to me - most people will be about as you think, but some will not, and it goes both ways.
Honestly, I'm not sure once this set (name change, etc.) is over. I think I want a bit of time of not thinking about transition and just living (as Danielle, of course!)
