A little more.

A point I made in my last post was taken the wrong way a bit. I don't mean the comparison to others to be about measuring my life or transition, but to be a measure of what is possible and how unreasonable the treatment I've received actually is.

I have an appointment with an LPN at Planned Parenthood on Monday to transfer my treatment there. A location near me provides services for trans women.

Good luck with the switch! It surely can't provide you with a worse service?

I did pick up on the difference, but in any case I've developed a certain suspicion of people - especially authority figures - who really push the "don't compare yourself to others" line. In my experience, the real reason they say you shouldn't compare yourself to others is often that they want you to be placidly happy with your lot and not realise how much you're getting screwed compared with what everyone else is getting. For example, workplaces where it's forbidden to discuss salaries.

I hope this step in your journey finally gains you the competent, compassionate care you so deserve, and should have had to begin with!
